Forgiveness Unlimited
Colossians 1:14
(KJV) "In whom we have
redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins:"
All Scripture taken
from King James Bible
(A.V.
1611)
Religion today puts people under a legalistic sytem
and of repetitive motions in seeking God's
forgiveness.
It's always
some
repetitive system that
only will
satisify
man's religion,
man's
denominations, the
cliques,
the
associations, the
conventions, the
littles
divisions
and
groups that
man
creates
because of our
sin
nature. We group up, then we split off. We see the
fruits of sin in others, then we all split off.
Forgiveness.
We should all
just
give forgiveness to
each other. And
I am
guilty.
Notice in
Matthew 6
about the If...Then
command to the
nation of Israel.
Here
is what religion
runs
to and
shoves down men and
women's throats:
Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matthew 6:15
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.Tragically many actually believe that if
we do not forgive each other, which we should,
then God will
not
forgive us.
Bare in mind that
Matthew,
Mark, Luke,
&
John
are written
for Israel.
This
was for the Nation
of
Israel
so that
they might know that Jesus
Christ is the
Messiah. We are
not
Israel. We do not have
their
promises, nor their blessings. Do you have
money no matter how bad
the market
gets?
That is what
I
thought! In
Matthew, Trespasses
are forgiven
one
at a
time.
They
are not
forgiven all together. Are
you?
Colossians 2:10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:Now, notice in verse 11 how that we gentiles have
been through a circumcision not made with hands.
That
means a physical
one!
It is
a
spiritual one. What was
circumcisied? Our
Souls were
cleaned and
forgiven,
and we
had Gods
spirit
put in us,
and we
were
sealed till the day of
redemption, and
also our FLESH
was
cut away from the soul, thus the
soul can not
sin!
Colossians 2:11
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:Here in verse 11, we see that those who
have not believed in vain, but are
saved, which is the Body
of
Christ, have already
been through the operation
of God,
the unseen
circumcision, the one that is done
by
God,
and not by the
hands of man.
Also
not
that
Pauls is pointing out what
happened in this work of
God, the
flesh is
circumcised
from the new man, or the inner man,
thus the new man inside
can not
sin,
nor
will God ever
lay
to the charge
of one
reconcilled and
sealed,
sins! Seperation and forgiveness!
Colossians
2:12 Buried with him in
baptism,
wherein also ye are
risen
with him
Notice in verse 12 "baptism"
IS NOT water! It is a
SPIRITUAL baptism,
just
like the in
verse 11,
the
circumcision
made
without hands, which is
all
by the
operation of God. We
are
risen in Christ, and
Christ raised from
the dead by
God.
Verse 13 shows the members of the Body of Christ <Plural
Distinctive = "YOU"> is now considered by
God
to be dead as
far
as the sin
nature
and the sins of
our
flesh,
which
in contrast to the
spiritual form
of
circumcision, did
not
happen in
the operation
of God, to
our flesh. And we,
the
members of
the Body
of
Christ have already been
made alive
together with
Christ, and has
ALREADY forgiven
us of
ALL of
those
sinful acts,
and
traspasses
against
the
law. That's why the new man
inside
loves the Law of God, and can
never sin, nor ever be
considered a
sinner.
Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And since the believer can never be
considered a sinner in God's Eyes, Paul shows us in
verse 14
what
actually
happened at Calvary
for us. The Law was taken out
of the way for our benefit.
The
"blotting out"
was done at Calvary.
Christ
nailed the Law to His own Cross so
to take
it out of the way, and then
He
reconcilled the
whole world unto
Himself. You say what?
If He had not, you would not be
able to
ever
get saved! Why? If
you are not a Jew, then you are a
Gentile!
So, in
closing, you, if you have not
belived on Christ in vain,
and have been saved, are already a forgiven
Saint, so
do not get all wrapped up in religion or tradition or denominations.
They love to use a quote out
of 1 John and pound it
into your head! See
below:
So, remember, as a Saint, were you actually stand with God:
Colossians 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
