Hearing by The WORD

Over four hundred years ago God chose the English nation for a special purpose. It began with England’s defeat of The Spanish Armada in 1588. It is a year to remember in history. For in that year there was set into motion the ascendancy, and the eventual domination of the English language as the language of the end times. The English language became the universal language of the world. Four hundred years later, the inhabitants of the earth have entered into the 21st century, and the English language is still the universal language of the world.

In the book of Hebrews in chapter one we learn from God the Father that it was God the Son who "laid the foundation of the earth" and is the one "upholding all things by the word of his power." Note this “word of his power”.

In the Gospel of John in chapter one we see that Jesus Christ is the Word. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” In the book of Hebrews in chapter four we see the Scripture is “the word of God.” “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the hearts.” You cannot divide the two. The Word, big “W”, (Jesus Christ), and the word, the little “w” are inseparably linked.

Following is a (repeated) list of the early printed Bibles. These Bibles represent instances of translation into the English tongue before the eighteenth century. Examine this list, and a peculiar thing will become evident.

  1. The Tyndale Bible, 1534
  2. Coverdale Bible, 1535
  3. Matthews Bible, 1537
  4. The Great Bible, 1539
  5. The Geneva Bible, 1560
  6. The Bishops’ Bible, 1568
  7. The Authorized Version of the Bible, 1611

The Authorized Version of the Bible, 1611, is the seventh translation of the Bible into the English language! That BOOK is tried! "The word of the Lord is tried" (Ps. 18:30). It is pure! "The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times" (Ps. 12:6). Seven is the number of completion. God’s word in the English language is preserved in the Authorized Version of the Bible of 1611 (commonly called the King James Bible). The Authorized Version of the Bible, 1611, or in any of its editions: 1613, 1644 (Amsterdam), 1676 (Cambridge), 1680, 1701, 1769, (Oxford) is Gods BOOK. God has preserved his Scripture in spite of men.

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

(Ps.12: 6-7) Amen!
