Do We Really Believe Those Verses?

Heard "respect" in marriage counseling radio piece...

mailing...
- theme of HOPE! - (derived
from gospels / doing good, etc.)
- staff and volunteers to bring HOPE! (wrong christ)
- an "Oasis of Nurture for the Weary
Parent" seminar
- goals for the family
- values and principles
- synergy for the family
- from survival to significance
- waking the dead ... "We uses
Scripture (??) and the stories we have grown up with to teach
that we are precious to God and our heart is profoundly good..."
Why are folks falling for this baloney? Why are
CHRISTIANS being preached this stuff more and more?
(remember, they ALL hang around the gospels and
early Acts - don't forget that!)
Folks - we are NOT precious to God! - there is NO Scriptural
support! - Romans 11:25 seems
to be a growing problem with "Christians" today -
conceit!
Folks - our heart is NOT profoundly good! - Romans
3; Jeremiah 17:9: The heart
is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can
know it?
Heaven is full of bad people and Hell is full of good
people! Think on that for awhile - it will make sense!
Psychology is a religion that is just trying to fix up the
old nature - the old man!
Romans 6:6 - Knowing this, that our old man is crucified
with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that
henceforth we should not serve sin.
Ephesians 4:22 - That ye put off concerning the former
conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the
deceitful lusts;
Psychology is just wisdom of the world!
I Corinthians 1:20 - Where is the wise? where is the scribe?
where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish
the wisdom of this world?
I Corinthians 3:19 - For the wisdom of this world is
foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in
their own craftiness.
Psychology is loving people before God (and for many, 'instead"
of loving God)- see I John 4:19
in a modern bible version.

is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor
standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.

his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he

(leaf - purpose is to expose
the cells to light - to allow light to penetrate.
Photosynthesis is a process by which the energy of light is

NUMBERS - it is all about NUMBERS and FEELING GOOD!
I Corinthians 2:5 - That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Power of God
Remember, Paul prayed for the power of God in our lives.
I Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them
that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the
power of God.
Ephesians 1:19, 20 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Ephesians 3:16-21 That he would grant you, according to the
riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit
in the inner man;
17: That Christ may dwell in your
hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18: May be able to comprehend with
all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19: And to know the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the
fulness of God.
20: Now unto him that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that worketh in us,
21: Unto him be glory in the church
by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Ephesians 6:10,11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
And we still can't find
victories today? Even today?

Book are we today, anyway!
We should have no excuse...
II Timothy 3:7: Ever learning, and never able to come to
the knowledge of the truth.
We have the word of truth - we have the knowledge of the truth! We have it - the King James Bible!
Pleasing God!
Revelation 4:11 - Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory
and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for
thy pleasure they are and were created.
It isn't about now obeying Paul so we can have a great marriage,
a good walk, etc. It is about PLEASING GOD which then results in
a good marriage, a good walk, balanced children who love the Lord
and yet are prepared for the Christian battle, etc. success at
work even if the job stinks, etc.
Effective?
The Book promises to be effectual in those who believe - is that
you? (I Thessalonians 2:13)
Is it working in your lives?
Is it just producing guilt and frustration - more confusion -
making life even worse?
That isn't the plan, folks! That is NOT God's plan or design!
Our King James Bible should
be able to show you an understanding
and wisdom found NOWHERE ELSE!
It appears to me that we are farther from the Book than we realize! ...knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Is it just the standard Luke 8:14? And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. Yes it is, but you already have heard that preached over and over.

You know the replacements to the word of God today... the things
that mean more to folks than their KJB!
Dumb Sheep?
Folks, do we really just WANT to be the dumb sheep and just let
someone else guide us and do it for us - an earthly shepherd - or
an earthly evangelist who can stir you - even though it gets
proven over and over that it doesn't last UNLESS THE BOOK MAKES
IT WORK!
Paul never says we have to be like dumb sheep!
We have it all!
Romans 11:11 - I say then, Have they stumbled that they
should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation
is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
Romans 11:14 - If by any means I may provoke to emulation
them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
I Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come,
then that which is in part shall be done away.
Are we all in such a snare still?
We can't even beat ourselves?
II Timothy 2:25,26 - In meekness instructing those that oppose
themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the
acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover
themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive
by him at his will.
We can't win a few
temptations?
Are we so busy that we can't grow as a
Christian?
Do we now choose to still obey sin?
Are you still confused about the Book, etc?
Are we so Laodicean, we may as well just
give up?
Should we just accept our "lot' in
life? We deserve it anyway..?"

17. Learn to fight off the enemy!
(even learn the real enemy)
18. Know of the devices of the devil!

19. Know the true status of the god of this world!

blasphemed.
- grandpa: 6-8 - Young men likewise exhort to be sober

Why do we think we NEED to follow the wisdom of
the world?
Do we really NEED the correction from the world?
Do we really NEED psychiatrists, abuse counselors, famous
preachers, pastors evangelists?
Is that what makes us 'get it together?'
or will the word of truth be allowed to work effectually in us
that believe?
We can stay in the muck and
mire of the world...
...or get out and live a life that God has
designed for you to live!
We can finish our course with
joy, peace, etc.
...or frustration and misery!
We can live on the edge...
or get where it is safe!
We can have the false 'peace'
from the world...
or we can have the peace of God from the God of
peace!
Those
things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do:
and the God of peace shall
be with you.
